Jane Timmis

I have been a member of Flamstead Parish Council since September 2017 and I am also the Local Borough Councillor (Watling Ward) for Dacorum Borough Council. I have lived in the area for over 46 years now and know it well. I was closely involved with Flamstead Pony Club for many years and I am currently the Chair of the Markyate Surgery Patient Participation Group.

I represent Dacorum Borough Councillors on two Luton Airport Consultative Committees, and am very active in opposing any further expansion of the Airport, as a result of the noise and environmental impact on both the villages of Flamstead and Markyate. I report to the Parish Council and also work closely with LADACAN. I also have an interest in the application of the planning laws in the area and Climate Change issues.

I support the rural environment in which we are privileged to live; and I am determined to fight for the preservation of the Green Belt and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Watling Ward and beyond as far as possible.

I am a trained nurse and was awarded an MBE in 2003 for my work with developing information for patients, and patient involvement in their care.
