Flamstead Netball Club

The current Flamstead Netball Club was formed in 2004 by a couple of Mums on the school run and although many have come and gone a fair number of the original ladies are still playing today.

We currently have one team playing in Division 1 in the Hemel Winter League on Saturday mornings at Longdean School. Matches generally run September – March.

We have one official coach and umpire to assist us in our weekly training. This generally takes place, throughout the year, on a Thursday evening at Beechwood Park School, Markyate which offers both indoor and outdoor courts for our use.

We normally also enter a fun summer league, also in Hemel, which runs for 6-7 weeks from June through July and then we try to keep some training going through the summer holidays.

We are always looking for new players. The current team is made up of a range of ages so don’t think you are too young or too old (although you do need to be over 18).

If you’d like to know a bit more about us, please contact tracy@flamsteadnetball.co.uk  who will be happy to have a chat with you.  Website: http://flamsteadnetball.co.uk/

Bootcamp

Mark McGreevy runs bootcamp sessions on the recreation ground on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-10 am.  If you would like to join in, just go along to the recreation ground and have a chat with Mark and the other members.  It has been a popular activity since 2010 and whilst it can be challenging, it is fun and you can push yourself as much as you want. No charge.

Flamstead Cricket Club

The cricket club has been running in Flamstead since the 1800s so it is certainly a fixture of the summer scene in the village.  With the new pavilion and general facilities, the club hopes to increase membership of the adult teams. Contact Nick Ross for further information: nickross28@icloud.com  There is also a buoyant youth cricket section which trains on Friday evenings and is very well attended by children and parents alike as it is a very sociable aspect of the club.  Contact Charlie Hill for details on youth training: wildcrazyhorse@gmail.com

Tennis

There is currently no  tennis coach, but the tennis court is available for general use.

Football

Harpenden Colts use some of the pitches for 9 and 11 a side matches. https://harpendencolts.com/ for further information
