Flamstead Parish Council

The Parish Council consists of 10 Councillors and a Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer and it meets about 11 times a year in the Pavilion.   It has responsibility for managing the sports pavilion, recreation ground and associated activities, the cutting of grass at the recreation ground, churchyard and certain verges and open areas around the village and it reports on all relevant planning applications. The Council has a great relationship with local groups and societies and is happy to offer support where possible.  The Clerk provides an information service via the Grapevine email group which communicates all manner of interesting items.  The Council also works to engender a good working relationship with the local police to discuss crime and traffic issues in the parish. Flamstead has an excellent part time warden who assists with rubbish clearance, maintenance of paths and flower beds and general upkeep of public areas.
